A genuine SIGNED glossy black and white photograph taken in 1979 of Michael
Jackson, Tito Jackson (Michael’s Brother), Burt Bacharach (song writer),
Dusty Springfield and Michael McDonald

DESCRIPTION: An opportunity to acquire an iconic and genuine piece of music
memorabilia with a recent certificate of authentication which
will be supplied with this photo.

SIGNED very clearly in black felt tip ink by:

‘Michael Jackson’, ‘Dusty Springfield’ 'Michael McDonald.'

This photograph is believed to have been taken at a private party held in
1979 to celebrate Burt Bacharach's 'Woman’ album in Los Angeles (CA).

There are sources and other photos of this private party published online
however I am unable to locate another photo with Michael Jackson included
at the party other than this one which is now for sale.

Further to the above, we also confirm that this photograph has been
recently handled and approved by an autograph specialist at a long
established and reputable London auction house.

***Provenance: The photograph was acquired by a lady, who had obtained it
from her associate David Gest. There is an established link between the two
parties documented on the UK companies house records. The late David Gest
was a close confidant and friend of Michael Jackson and presumably Jackson
gifted this photo to Gest or one of his friends.
Documentation to confirm how this lady acquired this photo (from Gest as a
personal gift) will be supplied to the buyer with the photo.

Comments:

In my opinion an absolutely wonderful photo of icons of the music industry
photographed together and looking happy.

Although there are many signed Michael Jackson photos available on the open
market, to have an early photo signed by him is something quite different
and with the combination of ICONIC stars OF the time included makes it
even more special.

Bacharach had a great working relationship with Michael Jackson, McDonald,
and DUSTY Springfield.

Michael Jackson and Burt Bacharach

Michael Jackson had been accredited to assist Bacharach produce the album
‘Sometimes Late at Night’ in 1981 which feature the song written by
Bacharach’s ex wife Carole Bayer Sager.

Dusty Springfield and Burt Bacharach

Springfield was famously known for singing many of Bacharach's finest
compositions, for example ‘The Look of Love’ in 1967, the theme tune
to the very first of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels "Casino Royale".

Michael McDonald and Burt Bacharach

Michael McDonald famously had a hit called ‘On My Own’ with Patti LaBelle.
This was written and produced by Bacharach and his ex wife Sager. McDonald’s
relationship with Bacharach goes back to the 1960’s. McDonald also had other
hits produced by Bacharach.
