Plan of St Petersburg; with it's Fortifications, Built by Peter the Great in 1703 [on sheet with] The Harbour of Crownslot River Neva, Canal Made from the Said River to the R. Wolschowa.

DESCRIPTION: Extracted from the, London Gentleman's Magazine August 1749. Complete with the adjoining key to the buildings of St Petersburg. Scarce complete with the printed key.

A copper engraved map of the city and fort with decorative title cartouche showing Menzikoffs Island as designed for a new city with streets and canals laid out.

Another map included above titled "The Harbour of Crownslot River Neva, Canal made from the said River to the R. Wolschowa" - vicinity from the Emperor's palace, west of St. Petersburg, to the Wolschowa River.
