CGS0282 ![]() Click image to enlarge An 18th Century English Wallet / Pocket Book in Fine Red Morocco with Metal Clasp and Fine Gilt Tooling. DESCRIPTION: A foldover wallet with opening compartments either end internal paper and waxed card plus paper inserts from Rider's Almanac from 1781 - a fragment only with notes on paper leaves at the front dating from 1815 onwards recording details of the Ablitt family of Ipswich. SIZE: 133 x 80mm CONDITION: Restoration to one fold neatly carried out with old marbled paper. One small tear to the silk endpapers, small bump to lower edge of binding, one small corner tear on the last page. The dutch paper panels in excellent bright condition. The waxed card inserts clean.
