DESCRIPTION: Octavo, comprising 134 pages of recipes in several neat hands, all legible though with occasional deletions. With ownership to front leaf in calligraphic script of 'A Townsend' 1748 and below 'Alice Blundell's Recipe Book'. This also repeated on the recto. One loose recipe on a quarto sheet at the end and one further recipe pasted to rear board. Bound in contemporary calf. SIZE: 180 x 120mm CONDITION: considerably worn with surface abrasion and with early crude leather re-back.
