FIRST EDITION, early issue. The first edition of this much reprinted title is generally assigned t co copies such as this with no number in the title page imprint of Arrowsmith. Within the first edition several issue points arise, some contested, but in this case an early issue is indicated by the wording 'J W Arrowsmith, Bristol' to the head of the initial paste down advert leaf, the full address being supplied in the later issue which is relatively common. This earlier issue is, however, scarce.
