28 handcoloured aquatint plates of costume and 2 additional original watercolours depicting multiple figures, usually 2-3, image size appox to platemark, overall paper size 14 x 18.5 cm. Housed in original roan leather backed boards, with engraved paper onlay to upper board duplicating the title page and with 5 [of 6] original cloth ties.

FIRST OR EARLY PRINTING of this set of Hegi images, produced in various sizes for the tourist market, this a miniature set, a little used but very rare complete as most sets have been long broken up for framing by continental print sellers. A charming collection, with the addition
of two contemporary good amateur costume efforts of similar size and date loosely inserted. This set is a little used but very rare complete as most sets have been long broken up for framing by continental print sellers.

SIZE: 70 x 100 mm or 12.5inches x 9inches (approximately)

CONDITION: spine rubbed, corners a little worn, the plates with occasional light marginal spotting or stains, one plate torn into the image and one image containing surface damage to a face otherwise in good and bright state.
